This course equips community pharmacists with the knowledge and skills to address mental health challenges in their communities. Participants will learn to identify and understand common mental health disorders, including psychotic, mood, and substance use disorders, as well as cognitive decline and childhood mental health issues. The course emphasizes evidence-based strategies for prevention, early intervention, and referral while highlighting the unique role pharmacists play in promoting mental health.
Designed for professionals, the program includes practical tools, interactive components, and a capstone project to apply learning in real-world settings. By the end of the course, participants will be prepared to design and implement impactful mental health initiatives tailored to their local context.
